One of the major reasons for attending an EV expo is to drive an EV so see what it is like. This true for most, even those who just like technology, but especially for those who are looking to make the change over to an electric vehicle (EV).
If someone was going to make the change to and EV, then they would likely be considering the maker of the most popular EV from Europe as an option. That would be Renault, the maker of the Zoe. With total sales almost tripling from 2013 to 2016, the Zoe is one pretty much the most popular EV in Europe.
Renault also make the Knagoo Z.E, the world's top selling all electric light utility vehicle. These are two different vehicles, but both electric, and show the commitment of Renault to the EV space. And this shows that there is real conviction behind the words “Electric vehicles form the only practical and affordable solution in existence today to our planet’s transport-related environmental challenges.” by Carlos Ghosn, President and CEO of Groupe Renault.
Renault is an exemplar of what a car company can do when they commit to the EV future of the automotive industry. We are therefore very pleased that Renault has confirmed their attendance at the EE expo and will have a vehicle for a test drive.
The catch for Australians is that Renault will be aiming its EVs at commercial fleets; not private buyers. That means you chance to see and test drive one of these vehicles is at the 2018 EV expo.
Make sure you are there.
